Mark, a practicing anaesthetist, and his brother Frederick, an accountant, started Medicus Finance together with the goal of creating a company that genuinely puts doctor’s financial interests first, from medical student to private practice specialist and beyond.

Over the past 15 years, from medical student to consultant anaesthetist, I have seen firsthand how hard doctors work, how much they sacrifice, and how little time is left for everything else in life.
Watching my parents work hard to secure their finances inspired me to take a personal interest. I realised that without good planning and a supportive team who genuinely care about your financial wellbeing, it is easy to fall short of the financial security one would want by retirement. With this in mind I began helping friends and family. This passion eventually led me to become a mortgage broker and start this company with my brother.

I’ve always been fascinated by finance and how it can help people make smarter decisions with their money. This interest naturally led me to a career in accounting. Over the past 10–15 years, I’ve gained accounting experience in the corporate sector, with the last seven years focused on the health industry, primarily as a Finance Business Manager helping hospital stakeholders understand and optimise their financial position.
Working with my brother Mark, has been a lifelong dream. We’ve shared countless memories fishing, playing computer games, training in jiu-jitsu, and enjoying life together- but our careers never aligned, until now.

As a nurse, I’ve worked in both clinical and non-clinical roles across the healthcare system. Working closely with doctors has given me a real understanding of their pressures and daily challenges, while my experience in compliance, administration, and process management has shown me the value of strong, supportive systems. As Mark’s wife, I’ve also seen firsthand the challenges doctors face with financial decisions.
I enjoy making sure processes run smoothly, and at Medicus Finance I oversee administrative and operational processes and assist with loan writing -keeping everything organised and running as seamlessly as possible.

I’ve worked in marketing for over 12 years across a variety of industries. While part of my roles has been to generate customer leads, I’ve always enjoyed putting myself in other people’s shoes, making sure everything I create is client-focused and easy to understand.
When Frederick and Mark were setting up Medicus Finance, I didn’t think I’d be involved, especially as I had just found out I was pregnant! But when I saw their forms and documents could use a touch of sparkle, I knew I could step in to help. A few months later, here I am with a “fancy title,” helping to proofread, refine, and ensure everything we put out looks and sounds its best.
